Rock County Democrats will be gathering to hear from their candidates for local, state, and federal office. County Party Vice Chair of Communications Joe Long calls it a chance to get to know the candidates before primary. With political rancor between many candidates reaching new lows, it appears the Democratic Party of Rock County wants to keep an upcoming forum focused on the issues. Long says candidates will expected to answer only questions directed toward them, and avoid talking about their adversaries. The upcoming primaries for the Rock County Clerk and Register of Deeds races are very significant this election season because no Republicans are running and therefore will likely be decided August 9th. The forum is set for 6:30 Wednesday night at the Labor Temple on Center Avenue in Janesville.
