The 24-year-old former Evansville man accused of shooting a co-worker to death at Precision Drawn Metals in Janesville takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.

Kevin Todd plead guilty Tuesday morning to a single count of second-degree intentional homicide. Three additional charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety were dismissed but read into the record.

Todd had originally been charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection with the death of 30-year-old Devon Hills of Janesville in April of 2022.

Todd claimed that bullying led to the shooting, although the two only worked together for about seven days.

The prosecution and the defense have agreed not to ask for more than 30 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision at sentencing on August 24th.
