Walworth County is giving residents the opportunity to get rid of some no longer needed items from around the house at an upcoming Clean Sweep event.
Operations Support Assistant Amy Limones says for the first time they’ll be accepting tires for $10 without rims or $15 with rims, and they’ll also be accepting a wide variety of items which can be found on the county website.
Limones says they’ll also be accepting all types of TVs for free this year because recycling companies have a certain amount they need to turn in to the government each year, and they company they’re working with this year hasn’t hit the required number in a few years.
The clean sweep event will be held Saturday June 24th from 8am until noon at the Walworth County Public Works building.
