The Janesville Recreation Division is welcoming back the annual Kids Triathlon to Rockport Park next month.
Assistant to the City Manager Nick Faust says the race will include a 40 meter swim, a two and a half mile bike ride, and a half mile run while utilizing the Rockport Pool and the Peace Park Trail.
Faust says the event for kids ages 7 to 12 provides young participants with their first multi-sport competition and can help promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
Faust says people can register their kids by visiting the city’s website or by stopping at the recreation division in City Hall.
People who register before August 4th will also receive a free tee shirt.
