August’s Rock County Clean Sweep event may be the last chance for county residents to dispose of a number of items from around the house.
County Conservation Specialist Anne Miller says this will be the last Clean Sweep of the year and they’ll be accepting things like pesticides, mercury, solvent, unusable gasoline, and contaminated vehicle fluids.
Miller says people will need to register in advance so they can better prepare for how many people will show up, and they’re only budgeted a certain capacity so pre-registration is crucial.
A full list of items which will and won’t be accepted, and a link to register can be found on the county’s website.
