A South Beloit dispensary was the victim of a smash and grab burglary early Wednesday morning.
According to a post on the South Beloit Police Department’s Facebook page, shortly before 5:30am Wednesday a white GMC pickup truck backed through the front doors of Sunnyside Dispensary and items were stolen.
A photo of one of the suspects has been released and is available to view on the department’s Facebook page.
In a release, Sunnyside Spokesperson Jason Erkes says no employees were on-site and there were no injuries that they’re aware of and they will be repairing the front door to secure the store and reopening as soon as possible.
An update Wednesday afternoon says the vehicle used in the incident was recovered in a wooded area of Colley Road in Beloit.
