An argument between a mother and daughter in Janesville ended with an arrest and a trip to the hospital. Police were called to the 1300 block of Laurel Avenue about 6:45 p.m. Friday for a report of a domestic disturbance. Rock County Emergency Dispatch officials say the caller reported being stabbed. Officers say the investigation revealed the mother used a knife to protect herself and the daughter suffered a minor wound. The daughter was arrested on charges related to domestic violence and disorderly conduct and spent the night in the Rock County Jail after treatment at the hospital.
