Town of Beloit moving along with new fire station and town hall project

The Town of Beloit is soon going to look a little different as the town’s project to build a new fire station and town hall get under way.
City Administrator Tim Wellnitz says the current Fire Station 2 will be torn down some time this fall, with the hope the new station and attached town hall will be completed by the end of next year.
Wellnitz says with the demolition of the current building, a township community development director and code enforcement officer will have to move to the current town hall location at Fire Station 1, a move Wellnitz says isn’t ideal but they can make it work.
The project is estimated to cost around $10.8 million and will be covered in part by ARPA funding, a Neighborhood Investment Grant, and borrowed money.
