Returning teachers in the Beloit School District will be making a little extra money starting this year.
Director of Business Services Brad Boll says the district and the Turner Education Association agreed Monday on terms of a base wage increase of $2,0921 per returning teacher, which equates to about a 4% increase.
Boll says the two sides also agreed to come back and possible increase the wages even more in mid-October once property evaluations and state aid is finalized and it’s time to set the tax levy.
The district is slated to receive property valuations around October 15th.
