$950,000 in ARPA money that the Beloit City Council put aside to be used to address homelessness in the community appears to be paying off.
Grants Administrator Megan McBride says a wide ranging number of non profits applied for grant funding, including Family Promise of Greater Beloit, Robin House, Project 16:49, and multiple homeless prevention groups.
McBride says 361 residents served lived in a household with someone under the age of 18, 216 lived in a house with an elderly person, and 11 lived in a household with a handicapped or disabled person.
A total of 673 people were served by the ARPA funds between June and September of this year.
