The spring election in Beloit could look a little different depending on City Council action Monday night.
Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says there have been some security concerns about having elementary schools be polling locations, so Converse, Gaston, Hackett, and Todd would no longer serve as polling locations if the council approves an amendment.
Lock says the new locations would be Sun Valley Presbyterian Church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and Krueger Haskell Golf Course, and they’ll keep people updated on what their now polling place would be.
Lock says 1st Congregational Church, the Beloit Public Library, River of Life United Methodist Church and Central Christian Church will remain as polling locations.
