A 39–year-old Beloit woman is accused of stealing oxycodone pills while employed at Rock Haven Nursing Home.
Courtney C. Lestikow is charged in Rock County Court with felony theft.
According to the criminal complaint, on November 3rd, the nursing director at the County-owned nursing home discovered that several oxycodone pills for a patient were unaccounted for after they had been ordered from the pharmacy.
Through investigation the director learned that Lestikow has wasted any oxycodone pill of the same patient that was stolen from.
Lestikow was confronted about the missing pills and reportedly admitted to stealing 20 oxycodone tablets and consuming all of them to commit suicide.
Lestikow appeared in Rock County Court for her initial appearance Monday afternoon where Court Commissioner Jack Hoag set a signature bond.
