Members of the Beloit community are hoping a first annual spirit day can help quell the negativity constantly making headlines.
Beloit City Council President Dave Luebke worked with local business owners and other city leaders to make the event a reality.
The community spirit day will feature a free grill out and takes place on Sunday, September 4th from 1 to 4 p m.
Members from local law enforcement, fire departments, schools, churches and local businesses have been invited to attend.
