A 40-year-old Beloit women is in custody after a house fire on the city’s east side. Beloit police say the fire, reported about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, in the 1800 block of Carlyle Road, is suspicious. The single story home is heavily damaged. No one was reported hurt.
