3/31/26 Maria Lazar Candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court

Maria Lazar is a judge on the Waukesha-based District 2 Court of Appeals. She was previously a Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and assistant attorney general during former Gov. Scott Walker’s administration.

Lazar is considered the conservative candidate in the race. Her endorsements include Wisconsin’s six Republican U.S. House members, conservative Justice Annette Ziegler and the Milwaukee Police Association.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 7. Early voting runs through April 5; check your local clerk’s website for hours and locations. Make sure you bring
