6/12/20 Ryan Churchill Beloit native – Hollywood Filmmaker
Ryan is originally from Beloit, Wisconsin and graduated from The University of Wisconsin Stout. He got his start as an actor and comedy writer at The Second City in Chicago. He went on to perform and study as an actor/writer with Improv Olympic, The Free Associates, The Piven Theatre Workshop, and Acting Studio Chicago in Chicago. Since relocating to Los Angeles, he graduated from the ACME Sketch Comedy writing program and is a Main Stage Company alum. Ryan wrote, directed and starred in the short film/pilot, “Choke.Kick.Girl.” which won BEST COMEDY at the Santa Monica International Film Festival, which later went on to be re-mastered and re-shot into the recently released feature film titled, Punching And Stealing. As an actor Ryan has appeared in many TV shows and too many national commercials to count. Currently playing this summer in the "Peanut Butter Oscar Meyer Hotdog-Girl" commercial. As a director he was mentored under the tutelage of Alex Hardcastle on network TV shows such as The Crazy Ones (CBS), New Girl (FOX), The Mindy Project (FOX), Super Fun Night (ABC) starring Rebel Wilson, Mixology (ABC), Suburgatory (ABC) and Trophy Wife (ABC). When Ryan’s not auditioning, writing, directing or looking for film financing, he's probably playing with his son or picking up his weener dog's poop from the yard.
