10/11/2019 Halloween Candy Followed By Jan Jensen and Mark Davis The Owl and The Bear

In the first half of the hour, Tim talks about the most popular and unpopular Halloween candies.

Then at 1030,

In 1986, a young girl from Beloit, Wisconsin was about to celebrate her 7th birthday in the Boston Children’s Hospital. After her teacher placed an article in the local newspaper requesting cards from the community, a complete stranger responded by sending her a handmade card every day for two and half years. 30 years later, as she’s about to undergo her 42nd (and hopefully last) surgery, Joni’s optimistic outlook is a testament to the healing power of love, empathy and compassion. We'll hear the story behind the documentary, "The Bear and The Owl" this morning as Jen Jensen, the program's producer joins Tim.

10/11/2019 Todd Jacot and Kristin Arnold, Rock County Historical Society Spirits in the Night

Todd Jacot and Kristin Arnold, Rock County Historical Society, joins Tim to talk about a ton of fun happenings at RCHS in October.

Creepy, fun and new. That’s how many would describe this year’s “Spirits in the Night” season of events at the Rock County Historical Society.

Families – and all who love magic – will be treated to “magic” lessons, games, snacks and more at Wizard School, in session on October 12th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

For adults who relish in hearing gruesome and scandalous stories from Rock County’s past, there’s Murder and Mayhem in the Tallman Carriage House.

It wouldn’t be Halloween at RCHS without the popular Chill at Oak Hill cemetery tours.

For an even more spine-chilling experience, Chill at Oak Hill After Dark tours are offered at 7, 8, and 9 p.m. on October 19th, 25th, 26th and 30th.

theatrical Death and Dying in the Victorian Era tours at the Lincoln-Tallman House, 440 N. Jackson Street
