Customers of the City of Edgerton Water Utility

Residents receiving water from the Edgerton water utility should be aware that the City has had a lead exceedance in its drinking water. Water from the source wells does not have lead contamination. The lead contamination is likely coming from lead joints, service lines, and in-home plumbing. The best way to reduce potential exposure to lead, especially in older homes, is to run water from faucets for 2-3 minutes before consumption (or until cold).
