A Janesville man is being held at the Rock County Jail after allegedly hitting a residence with a vehicle and fleeing.  Police say 23-year-old James D. Connelly was westbound on East Centerway at 11:56 p.m. Thursday when he veered off the road and hit a residence and a parked vehicle in the 400 block of East Centerway.  Officers say after a witness reported accident, the Rock County Communications Center received a phone call from a man wanting to report a stolen vehicle.   Officers met with the man near the police department where they say he was detained after  matching the description of the driver provided by the witness.  Connelly was into custody on charges including first-offense drunken driving, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer, hit and run and a probation violation.
